The only number that matters tonight is 24. Below it, the event does not run, the added prize is wasted, and the next announcement lands on a room that just cancelled. Above it, the room looks alive and the Oct 25 Major has a warm list to sell into.

The offer problem (fix this before posting)

A $50-added freeroll pays the winner $20. That is not a reason to rearrange an evening.

Recommended: attach a seat in the Oct 25 $2,000-added Major to the winner. Cost to the team is one $50 seat; perceived value is 2.5× the cash prize and it cross-sells Sunday's headline event. It also gives every post a second hook.

If a seat is too much, use top 3 get $5 satellite tickets — cheaper, but weaker.

Second lever: entrants who play 50 hands this week get a $5 Major satellite ticket. This is the same 50-hand unlock that doubles as Sybil protection (see the GTM plan §6a). It converts a one-night freeroll into a week of table traffic.

Work down this list, in order:

1. Personal DMs to every known real player, including the lapsed list. One at a time.
2. Add the Major-seat bonus if it was not already on.
3. Ask two partner communities to pin or blast it. Offer them a $50 bounty table next week.
4. Lower the field cap to 24 only if the platform allows it — a full 24 is a better story than an empty 80.
5. If still short at 20:45, postpone rather than run a 12-player event. Post: "Tonight's freeroll moves to [date] — we'd rather run a real field than a hollow one." Then run a free 1c/2c cash session at 21:00 instead. Cancelling loudly is recoverable; a $20 winner in a 12-person field is not.

After the event (do not skip)

• 23:00 — winner post with the payout receipt and a screenshot of the final table.
• Immediately after — open the graduates table: 1c/2c, $20 max buy-in, 60 minutes, for freeroll players only. This is the free→paid conversion moment. Announce it in #tournaments at the same time as the result.

How to talk about the Sybil cleanup

Do not litigate the bot farms in public. The trust message is forward-looking:

"Verified players only — one entry per person. The fields are smaller and the games are better."

If someone asks why the old tournaments looked fuller: "We tightened entry so prizes go to real players. That's the trade we chose." That is true, it is a trust signal, and it reframes a smaller field as a quality decision rather than a decline.
